The Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), attended a reception held to commemorate the 96th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the ITC Ratnadipa Hotel in Colombo last evening (24 September).
The reception was organized by the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Sri Lanka.
The Defence Secretary was received by the Charge d'Affaires of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Yaser Abdurahman Al-Hazme.
Minister of Ports, Civil Aviation and Energy, Hon. Anura Karunathilaka, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The event was attended by a distinguished gathering, including Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, members of the diplomatic corps, senior state officials, and other distinguished invitees.
