The High Commissioner of Canada to Sri Lanka, H.E. Isabelle Martin, paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), today (28 October) at the Ministry of Defence.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest and explored avenues to further strengthen bilateral engagement, particularly in the areas of defence cooperation, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR), and enhanced training opportunities for the tri-forces. The discussions also highlighted the longstanding ties between Sri Lanka and Canada and the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations.
