Colombo, Sri Lanka, Oct. 3 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:
Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) attended the reception held to mark the National Foundation Day of the Republic of Korea as a special guest at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, on 02 October.
Hosted annually by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Sri Lanka, the reception was graced by the Chief Guest, Hon. (Dr.) Anil Jayantha, Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning.
Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Sri Lanka H.E. Kim Youn Jung warmly welcomed the distinguished guests. The event was attended by the Speaker of the Parliament, Cabinet Ministers, Politicians, the Commander of the Navy, members of the diplomatic corps, tri-service officers, government officials, other distinguished guests and members of the Korean community.
