Colombo, Sri Lanka, Oct. 3 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:

The Audit and Management Committee for the 3rd Quarter of 2025, chaired by the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), was held at the Ministry of Defence.

The first session, covering matters related to the Tri-Forces and Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Ltd. (RALL), was held on 1 October, while the second session, focusing on the Ranaviru Seva Authority (RSA), Civil Security Department (CSD), and the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) Hospital, took place today (3 October).

The sessions were attended by the Commanders of the Army and Air Force, the Chief of Staff of the Navy, the Deputy Auditor General, the Chief Internal Auditor, and the Chief Financial Officer (Procurement and Project) of the Ministry of Defence, along with the heads of the institutions under the Ministry's purview and senior officials from the Tri-Services and civil administration.

Discussions centred on financial management, audit observations, accountability measures, and administrative procedures. The Committee underscored the importance of transparency, efficiency, and good governance in all financial and managerial operations within the respective institutions.

The Audit and Management Committee continues to function as a vital mechanism for strengthening institutional oversight, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing the contribution of institutions under the Ministry of Defence towards national defence and administration.
