The Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd.), chaired another session of the "Public Day" program held at the Deputy Minister's Office in Colombo on 18 May.
During the session, special attention was given to addressing matters related to pensions, welfare assistance, housing, medical support, and other service related concerns of veterans, their families and the concerned personnel. The Deputy Minister listened attentively to each issue raised and instructed relevant officials to take prompt action to provide solutions.
The Ministry of Defence continues to prioritize the welfare of retired members of the Tri Forces, in recognition of their dedicated and invaluable service rendered to the nation.
