Colombo, Sri Lanka, Aug. 12 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:
Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) graced the 12th General Deshamanya Dennis Perera Memorial Oration, held at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) on 11 August.
The oration, organised in honour of the late General Deshamanya Denis Perera, was delivered by the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Damian Fernando, under the theme "Our Watch: Building a Future-Ready Navy."
The event was attended by Mrs. Ranjini Perera, the Commanders of the Sri Lanka Army and Sri Lanka Air Force, former Service Commanders, senior officers of the Tri-Forces, academic staff, distinguished invitees and members of the university community.
