Colombo, Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:
Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), visited the Army Hospital, Anuradhapura, on 29 August to review the hospital's facilities and discuss measures to further enhance its services.
Upon arrival at the hospital premises, the Deputy Minister was received by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Nilantha Premaratne, and senior officers of the Sri Lanka Army.
During the visit, the Deputy Minister inspected the existing medical and other facilities of the hospital and held discussions with senior Army officials on measures to improve and further develop its infrastructure and services. Matters relating to the development of the Anuradhapura Military Nursing School were also discussed during the visit, with attention to strengthening facilities and supporting the professional development of military nursing personnel.
The visit was attended by senior officers of the Sri Lanka Army and officials of the Army Hospital, Anuradhapura.
