Colombo, Sri Lanka, Sept. 25 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:
The Defence Attache of Mongolia accredited to Sri Lanka, Colonel Odsuren Zayat, paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekera (Retd), today (25, September) at his office in Colombo.
The visiting Defence Attache was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Minister and engaged in a cordial discussion covering matters of mutual interest.
Colonel Zayat also met with the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), at the Ministry of Defence earlier this week (23, September). The discussions were focused on key areas of defence cooperation and exchange.
This meeting marks a constructive step towards further strengthening defence relations between Mongolia and Sri Lanka.
