Colombo, Sri Lanka, Nov. 3 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:
The outgoing Australian Defence Attache Colonel Amanda Johnson and the newly appointed Defence Attache Captain Ben Fennell called on Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) at the Ministry of Defence today (03 November).
The meeting provided an opportunity to formally introduce the incoming Defence Attache and mark the conclusion of Colonel Johnson's tenure in Sri Lanka.
During the meeting, the Defence Secretary appreciated Colonel Johnson's contribution towards strengthening defence cooperation between Australia and Sri Lanka and extended his best wishes for her future endeavours. He also welcomed Captain Fennell and expressed confidence in the continued enhancement of bilateral defence relations.
