Colombo, Sri Lanka, Nov. 28 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:
A Sri Lanka Air Force rescue team on a Bell-212 helicopter from No. 7 Helicopter Squadron, Hingurakgoda, safely rescued 13 people stranded on the Manampitiya Bridge in Polonnaruwa this morning (28 November). All persons were airlifted to safe locations.
